The Majors Softball Program is for girls ages 11-13. The players will pitch during these games. Majors Softball teams will play other JCYS teams as well as similarly aged teams from neighboring towns such as Croton, Briarcliff, New Castle and Pleasantville. We will use formal umpires at this level. The goal of the senior level is to teach the more advanced aspects of softball such as windmill-style pitching, catching, stealing, sliding, bunting and formal rules. Our goal is to prepare the girls to play on junior high school softball teams which start in seventh grade. We plan to have one practice and one game per week plus special sessions for batting and pitching as coach time allows.
